MANAGER, KEY ACCOUNTS- CALIFORNIA
PLANT SCIENCE DIVISION
The Plant Science Division is comprised of an integrated team responsible for the research, development, marketing and sales of specialty products including biostimulants, plant growth regulators, soil amendments, technical ingredients for formulation and other inputs for global agricultural and horticultural markets.
The Key Account Manager is responsible for strategic and tactical sales and marketing strategies to aggressively develop markets for our plant growth products for the territory north of Sacramento and Oakland, California. The primary focus is to ensure and enhance a high level of commitment and loyalty from existing clients and to develop long term and committed relationships with new or potential clients with focus on maximum growth and profitability in accordance with the business plan.
Specific accountabilities include:
Proactively identify and capture business opportunities in co-operation with the General Manager, in-jurisdiction Key Account Managers and other internal and external stakeholders, in accordance with the business plan and the strategic and financial goals of the company.
Act as liaison and advisor between all internal stakeholders and external stakeholders in the territory. Design and conduct a comprehensive direct sales activities plan with focus on revenue growth, market share growth and profit growth. This activities plan will be conducted with stakeholders in all levels of the supply chain.
Prepare an annual business plan with specific focus on attainable goals, strategies, tactics, activities, costs, revenue growth, margin growth and how they impact ROI. Conduct planning with a focus on effective inter-discipline co-ordination and adherence to timelines. This will be done in collaboration with the General Manager and representatives from Marketing, R&D and Technical Science.
Candidates will possess an Undergraduate degree in agricultural studies, plant pathology or similar and/or equivalent experience in Key Accounts Management/agronomic business development. Knowledge of agricultural markets and issues in the territory is required. Knowledge of business culture in the territory is required.

The Key Account Manager is responsible for strategic and tactical sales and marketing strategies to aggressively develop markets for our plant growth products for the territory consisting of Oregon, Western Washington, Idaho and other regions as required. The primary focus is to ensure and enhance a high level of commitment and loyalty from existing clients and to develop long term and committed relationships with new or potential clients with focus on maximum growth and profitability in accordance with the business plan.
