Join the harvest

We're currently hiring Seaweed Harvesters for the upcoming season (late spring to early fall). This opportunity includes training, flexible hours, and the potential to earn $1,000 - $1,500 per week. Interested?

What to expect

Seaweed Harvesters are trained to use a specially designed cutter rake for the harvesting. On average, a Seaweed Harvester will cut 4-5 tons of seaweed per tide, while operating a skiff equipped with an outboard motor.

  • Harvest and safety equipment is supplied
  • On-the-job training is provided
  • Relocation to harvesting sites

Skills

  • Pleasure Craft Operator Card 
  • Experience operating an outboard 25hp-50hp motor 
  • Knowledge of tidal waters  
  • Understanding of boat safety  
  • Can work independently  
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Legally entitled to work in country of position applying for 
  • Follow sustainable resource practices and quality assurance guidelines 
  • Availability (up to 20 weeks) 
  • Willingness to temporarily relocate to harvest sites
